I started this company in Somerville in 2017 after I came across three beautiful dining tables that were heading to the landfill. I asked the owner if I could save them — found them a new home — and realized there was a real need here for waste removal that actually tried to keep things out of the dump. That's still how we operate.
Most city waste programs in Greater Boston have hard limits. Somerville DPW, Cambridge DPW, Medford DPW — they cap the number of bulky items they'll take at the curb, they can't touch mattresses because of the Massachusetts mattress recycling ban, and they don't go inside your home. When you've got a broken refrigerator in a basement on a narrow Somerville street, a washer on the third floor of a triple-decker in Malden, or a pile of construction debris in a Cambridge brownstone — that's where we come in.
