Any room, any floor, any staircase.  Lexington's older homes along Massachusetts Avenue and through the historic district have tight staircases that weren't designed around a king-size bed frame or a three-piece sectional. We've done enough of those jobs to know how to get large pieces out without damaging the walls, the floors, or the doorframes. You don't move anything. Lexington does have a free program through UTEC. Pickups run every other Friday. You schedule at lexingtonma.gov or by calling UTEC at 978-856-3997, and plan for a 1–2 week wait for a confirmed date. The catch: you have to get it to the curb by 7:00 AM. UTEC does not come inside.

Appliances need a separate Wednesday-only appointment through Capitol Waste's portal or by calling 617-569-1718. Snowblowers and lawnmowers need to be completely drained of oil first.

Mattresses are not part of the standard bulk program at all. Lexington routes mattress recycling through UTEC (pickup every other Friday, schedule at lexingtonma.gov or 978-856-3997) — but UTEC requires curbside placement by 7:00 AM and won't take bed-bug-infested mattresses.

Electronics require a separate Wednesday Capitol Waste appointment. No curbside pickup without scheduling first.

Construction debris is not collected under any program, period. All renovation waste requires a private hauler.
