Bulk items and furniture: Saugus provides scheduled bulk item pickup, but items must be arranged in advance with the town's solid waste program. Items cannot simply be placed at the curb on any day without scheduling.

Electronics and hard-to-recycle items: Saugus operates the CHaRM facility (Center for Hard to Recycle Materials) at 515 Main Street, open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8AM–2PM. The CHaRM accepts electronics, TVs, and computers — but is limited to 3 TVs or computers per year per address, requires proof of Saugus residency, and is closed entirely during winter months. The CHaRM facility does not accept household trash or construction materials and debris under any circumstances.
